We would like to thank the Cobb County ESOL Graduation Specialist, Mr. Eddie Bennett for his presentation on Friday. The students enjoyed learning about future field trips, how to apply for college, dual enrollment, and using informational websites to assist with choosing a field of study.
We had a great time today! Students were able to listen to music from around the world. We discussed how music creates a sense of pleasure even if we are not able to understand the language. Brazilian cuisine foi muito saborosa hoje!
Our first meeting will be February 12th. We will celebrate and learn about different cultures and food with our new friends.
We would like for each student to bring an item that is unique to their country. Our speaker today was Jorcelino Alves! He gave encouraging words about Brazilian schools vs American Schools. Students also learned about college requirements, American laws, GED, and being successful in life!
Our 1st meeting was a Success! We shared ideas about our culture, food, music and eating healthy. We really enjoyed the food today. We had a chance to taste and enjoy:
